I wouldn’t recommend embroidering around the edges of the flock. The needle would tend to perferate the adhesive and you might problems with the Flock peeling after laundering. You could use the flock as a foreground on a twill backgound. The twill background would need to be sewn- and the flock could be heat pressed onto the twill. This would give you the sewn look, as well as the soft flock feel.
Can you flock a design and then embroider around the edges like you do in applique?
